Canon info:
After getting her silver trophy during her, Nessa, and Leon’s run through the Gym Challenge, she walked off the pitch with the intention to never battle again, humiliated and frustrated by her loss to Leon. Her grandmother's boyfriend takes care of her retired competitive team, aside from Yamper.
Her grandmother sent her to study abroad in Kalos between fifteen and eighteen, and from then on she attended Hammerlocke University while assisting her grandmother in the lab, graduating from an accelerated course with a Doctorate in Pokémon Biology, with a minor in Galarian History.
After the events of SWSH/DLC she has begun working on her second book: Migration: Unovan Legendaries Hidden in the Galarian Tundra and is working with Macro Cosmos (despite not really trusting them) to improve the stability of Power Spots around Galar. Sonia doesn't battle, ever, and she'll get a little annoyed if you ask her to.

I make a lot of silly posts. I tweet about fashion and beauty and Sonia loving their friends. Sometimes she gets a little sad. It's whatever, though.
